Long-Term Hospital-Based Residential Program (ages 8-13 & 14-18)

The Progressive Care Unit for this population provides more extensive, longer term inpatient services beyond the scope of crisis intervention. Patients follow a strict, structured, and consistent comprehensive psychiatric treatment plan for a prolonged period of time to expedite resolution of more long standing problems. Treatment components for both the Progressive and Acute Care Units include ongoing psychiatric assessment, treatment and management; fully accredited academic program; case management; family therapy and parent training (family involvement is mandatory); recreational therapy; individual therapy; 24-hour nursing supervision; specialty therapies as needed for speech and language problems, behavioral or attention deficit deficiencies, sexual trauma, substance abuse, or other conditions.
